Job Summary Responsible for providing fast, accurate, and friendly checkout service to customers in a busy hypermarket environment. Handles cash and electronic payments, processes sales transactions, issues receipts, and ensures accurate cash handling while maintaining excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and provide professional
friendly service.
Scan and process products accurately using the POS/cash register system.
Accept cash
credit/debit cards
and other approved payment methods.
Count cash accurately and provide the correct change.
Issue receipts
invoices
and other transaction documents as required.
Handle refunds
exchanges
and price inquiries according to company policies.
Verify prices
promotions
discounts
and loyalty benefits when applicable.
Maintain an accurate cash drawer and report discrepancies to the supervisor.
Keep the checkout counter clean
organized
and well maintained.
Assist customers with basic product and store-related inquiries.
Follow company procedures for cash security
fraud prevention
and loss prevention.
Coordinate with supervisors and other departments when assistance is required.
Comply with health
safety
hygiene
and company policies.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous cashier or retail experience is an advantage.
Basic computer and POS system knowledge.
Good communication and customer-service skills.
Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Honest reliable and responsible with cash and company property.
Willingness to work flexible shifts weekends and public holidays as required.
