Makkah Hypermarket is hiring an Inventory Executive for its hypermarket in Muscat, Oman. You will own stock accuracy across the store: planning and running cycle counts, investigating variances, keeping system stock aligned with the floor and back store, and reporting shrinkage and slow movers to management.
The role suits someone with hands-on inventory-control experience in a hypermarket, supermarket or distribution environment who is strong with ERP stock systems and Excel and works methodically with the receiving and floor teams.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute daily cycle counts and periodic full stock counts across all sections
- Investigate and resolve stock variances; post approved adjustments in the ERP system
- Keep system stock aligned with the sales floor and back store, including transfers and returns
- Monitor negative stock, ageing, slow movers and near-expiry items and flag actions
- Analyse and report shrinkage, wastage and damage with the receiving and section teams
- Check receiving, GRN and return postings for accuracy alongside the receiving incharge
- Prepare inventory reports and count schedules for store management
- Support pricing and promotion changes with accurate stock and article data
Requirements
- 2–3 years' inventory or stock-control experience in a hypermarket, supermarket or warehouse
- Hands-on with ERP/inventory systems and confident with Excel
- Strong numeracy and attention to detail; comfortable investigating discrepancies
- Knowledge of FIFO, expiry control and shrinkage-control practices
- Organised and methodical, able to run counts with minimal disruption to trading
- Good communication in English; Hindi/Urdu or Arabic an advantage
- GCC experience an advantage
