Makkah Hypermarket is hiring a Receiving Incharge for its hypermarket in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. You will run the receiving bay: checking every delivery against purchase orders, inspecting quantity, quality and expiry, posting goods received notes (GRN) in the system and keeping the back store organised and safe.
The role suits someone who has managed goods inward in a hypermarket, supermarket or distribution warehouse, works accurately under pressure, and can coordinate confidently with suppliers, drivers and section heads.
Responsibilities
- Receive all deliveries and verify quantities and items against purchase orders and invoices
- Inspect goods for damage, quality, temperature and expiry dates before acceptance; reject non-conforming stock
- Post goods received notes (GRN) and returns accurately in the inventory system
- Maintain cold-chain checks for chilled and frozen deliveries and record temperatures
- Organise the receiving bay and back store: safe stacking, clear aisles and FIFO arrangement
- Coordinate delivery schedules with suppliers, drivers and the store's section heads
- Control shrinkage at the back door: supervise loaders and follow security procedures
- Keep receiving records, claims and supplier-return documents complete and up to date
Requirements
- 2+ years' experience in goods receiving, back-store or warehouse operations in a hypermarket, supermarket or distribution centre
- Able to check invoices, purchase orders and delivery notes accurately
- Familiar with GRN posting in an inventory/ERP system; barcode scanners an advantage
- Knowledge of FIFO, expiry control and basic food-safety (HACCP) practice
- Physically fit — the role involves standing, lifting and supervising loading work
- Basic communication in English, Hindi/Urdu or Arabic
- GCC experience an advantage
